About Me
Scottish girl, endurance sports enthusiast, ex Pro triathlete, gravel cyclist, roadie, coach, engineer, and most importantly dog-lover. I fall in love with every stray dog in Coyhaique and if I lived there I would have a dog rescue centre.
My husband competed in the first edition in 2018 and I was crew. We originally went to the race because it captured our imagination and we love to travel. We have now returned twice more because it is without a doubt the best experience in triathlon.
How I Discovered Patagonman
My Patagonman Journey
In 2022 I won Patagonman and had one of my best days in sport of a 20+ year career. It was an experience to top all others, and I wanted to race it again. In 2023 I had ankle surgery so was not able to race, but returned in 2024. My race there in 2024 was incredible, allowing me to experience the magical course and wonderful atmosphere all over again. To win a second time was beyond my expectations and a truly memorable day.
You can watch films about both of my race experiences on YouTube @thebricksession.
A Message to Future Competitors
Don’t hesitate. Like jumping off the ferry at the start of the race, once you register for this race then you will do what it takes to get there. It’s a race like no other. The adventure, the region, the people. Don’t miss it.
