Patagonman is the point-to-point, full "iron" distance triathlon in Patagonia that starts from a ferry boat in the cold waters of the Aysen Fjord.
2020 edition of Patagonman will take place on December 6th and the lottery registration is already opened. Anyone from any place in the world can buy a lottery ticket* to participate for a slot in this unique adventure. Only 300 athletes will be selected to take part on it. They will be notified in March and will have a week to complete their registration and pay the entry fee (CLP $490.000 » aprox. USD $620)
After the triathlon prodigy, Mauricio Mendez from Mexico, became the champion of the first edition of Patagonman in 2018, the point-to-point “iron-distance” race in Patagonia grew fast and strong. In 2019 Tim Don became the champion of the second edition of this already legendary triathlon where other celebrities like James “Ironcowboy” Lawrence, Lucy Gossage and Allan Hovda have also participated.
Athletes from more than 50 different countries have raced and most of them travelled around Patagonia after the event, as this raw and secluded corner of the world seems to has and special charm and an extraordinary natural beauty.
The base towns of the race are Puerto Aysen (pre race) and Coyhaique (post race), Chile (airport: Balmaceda, BBA).
*All the money collected from the lottery goes directly to charity in Patagonia
